Nothing exists until it is fist created in someone's mind.
 Art is an expression of imagination, skill, and creativity, used to evoke reflection and communicate ideas.

As Mansa Musa traveled throughout Africa, venturing through the Sahara Desert and Egypt, he demonstrated his understanding of the value in art and creation. Enlisting the help of skilled architects and artists, Mansa Musa commissioned the construction of Djinguereber Mosque and Gao Mosque, as well as other public buildings, like Madagou Palace and University of Sankore. These structures were created out of mud bricks and endure the tests of time, providing an opportunity for exploration and greater understanding of techniques, skill, and ideas that could only be conveyed in that particular time and way.
